5 Design trends that we will see in 2019

In order to keep you up to date from the first weeks of 2019, we have selected among the design sites and blogs the trends that experts have indicated for this new year. We have created for you a quick summary in 5 points on the elements to keep an eye on in the coming months: colors, materials and styles that perhaps have already manifested themselves in 2018 that apparently will be able to impose themselves in 2019.

Soft colors with impact details

The return of monochrome and neutral tones, after years of renewals with strokes of color. Today, the choice of impactful colours remains the prerogative of the most courageous, the majority prefer to opt for classic colours, which do not tire. Colour is all about details, and in 2019 a return of red is expected for furnishing accessories, all shades are worth a bit, from brick, to rust, including the living coral, Pantone colour 2019. Not to forget the details in gold and brass, already seen in 2018 will continue to be present in objects, ornaments and furnishings throughout 2019.

Natural materials and floral motifs

Wood and stone are materials that are never abandoned and that in 2019 we will see in their most natural versions, neutral colors and new uses, especially for the decoration of the walls.
Wide to the coating of the walls with wood, for a modern and welcoming effect, or with marble for very elegant and sophisticated environments.
There is also a great desire for flowers and greenery among the furnishing elements and, why not, on the walls. Wallpapers with floral motifs will also be the protagonists in 2019, where large flowers combine with the trendiest colours.

Green corners in the countryside and in the city

The need for green strikes everyone and if he lives in the countryside has more room for manoeuvre, creativity and imagination are the weapons of those who live in the apartment. The balconies flourish again, but also the interiors of the house with corners dedicated to plants, where even the vase becomes a furnishing element.

The rustic industrial

A desire for pampering but also for modernity. This is how a revisitation was born that synthesised two styles that had been in vogue for years: rustic and industrial, giving life to the rustrial. Modern and industrial style meets the warmth of wood. Simple and clean lines, a metropolitan loft atmosphere but colours that warm and welcome.

Open space and mansards

The open space becomes a multifunctional space that can be easily transformed according to different needs. Furniture is required to be modular, adaptable to multiple functions, easy to move or hide.
Small spaces that are also expressed in an increasingly popular space: the attic. Experienced as an architectural typology that creates a welcoming style, thanks to exposed beams and plays of light coming from skylights and dormer windows.
