Our experience of Salone del Mobile allows us to make more than a simple excursus on the presence of our products in the various stands. And a reflection is a must once the spotlights have been turned off on what is more and more the THE fair of Design, a window on the future that awaits us.
This edition of Salone, which also included Eurocucina and Eurobagno, stood out for some recurring themes: home automation and eco-sustainability first and foremost, the IoT (the internet of things) that makes furniture and appliances connected to the Internet, great attention to materials and the search for design and the mixing of contrasting materials.
Before scrolling through the gallery, where you can see Skema products on show in the pavilions of Salone del Mobile 2018, it is important to underline how the exhibition spaces were expressed in a choral way with an evolved management of the exhibition mood. All were oriented to represent the living experience in an authentic way, so nothing was left to chance because the contextualization of the piece of furniture in the living space had to be total.
From this point of view, it has been logical and proper to see that materials such as wall and floor coverings have been used as furnishing elements and not simply functional supports for the fair fitting.
Entering these stands was an authentic experience and in many the skilful study of materials, decorative elements and lights made them such experiential journeys that they could be visited by touch.
Skema products have been up to the representative concept and the experience of authentic living and have been noted for their design but also for their performance.
Many stands have used innovative Skema products, such as *Lindura, *Nadura and the most sought after collections of laminates, such as Vision Syncro Oxid or Vision Syncro Parquet, but a lot of wood was also used, a product that until a few years ago was certainly not a protagonist of exhibition spaces.
