STAR.WOOD 5G the evolution of the first true Italian SPC+wood hybrid

STAR.WOOD, the first true SPC+wood hybrid introduced on the Italian market, becomes even more practical, silent, insulating and natural.
Wood surface, SPC structure, pre-coupled cork underlay and TLS-5G joint, this is the formula that transforms the collection and officially becomes STAR.WOOD 5G.

One year after its introduction on the market, SKEMA has decided to further enrich the absolute novelty of the first SPC+wood hybrid included in the Sintesy line with two elements that make it even more performing.

New cork underlay

The pre-coupled IXPE underlay was replaced with the new cork underlay, a material known for its air and liquid impermeability, acoustic and thermal insulation properties, and therefore ideal for underfloor heating systems. It is an elastic material that withstands loads very well and is not afraid of ageing or deterioration.

New TLS-5G joint

SKEMA was the first company in Italy to include the TLS-5G engineered joint system in its floors and from today it will also be a feature of STAR.WOOD 5G.
A type of mechanical joint with vertical movement that allows for simplified installation, with considerable savings in installation time and 60% higher mechanical strength.
The joint has a spring-loaded tongue that is reinforced by pressure that prevents the element from rising, thus guaranteeing a long lasting hold with a "latch" effect on the planks.

STAR.WOOD 5G finishes and sizes

STAR.WOOD 5G also introduces some novelties in the aesthetic proposal: the new colour Noce Brandy with Nature finish in addition to the existing ones and the double format for the colours Rovere Champagne and Rovere Cognac for which the 1218x165x7 mm format is available, in addition to the standard 1900x190x7 mm.
