“Siamo fatti della stessa materia di cui sono fatti i sogni”, ma se anche il sogno è materia, forse l'unica via per riuscire a rappresentarlo è l'arte.

Skema ha chiesto all'artista Ivan De Menis di costruire un linguaggio che possa esprimere quella labile dimensione dove il sogno si fa materia e superficie, partendo dalla sua lunga ricerca sulla combinazione del colore, della materia e della luce.

In questo De Menis è precursore, grazie alla ricerca sulla stratificazione e sull'uso della materia liquida che si trasforma e con cui raggiunge delle profondità e delle luminosità che troviamo nella natura molecolare e nella materia dello spazio siderale.

Un esempio a cui ispirarsi, tentando di trovare quelle risposte, mai veramente possibili da afferrare, che l'arte contemporanea pone con le sue domande.

 

"We are made of the same matter that dreams are made of", but if the dream is also matter, perhaps the only way to succeed in representing it is through art.

Skema asked artist Ivan De Menis to construct a language that could express that labile dimension where dreams become matter and surface, starting from his long research on the combination of colour, matter and light.

In this De Menis is a forerunner, thanks to his research on layering and the use of liquid resin that is transformed and with which he achieves depths and luminosity that we find in the molecular nature and matter of sidereal space.

An example to be inspired by, trying to find the answers, never really possible to grasp, that contemporary art rises with its questions.
