The awareness of being the guardian of an inestimable treasure is a wonderful idea, full of responsibility but also of opportunities.
For this reason my attention to the environment grows day by day to protect our greatest and most beautiful wealth: nature and its resources.
This evolutionary process has started long ago involving products, working places, materials and energies involved.
Awarded for the first time in February 2000 (previous edition of ISO 9002:1994 regulation) it certifies Skema compliance with the requirements of quality management settled by ISO 9001 regulation for planning, manufacturing and selling of its products. Being ISO 9001 certified means first of all being organised and oriented towards continuous improvement, providing products and services that meet the needs of customers and all stakeholders, both from the point of view of compliance with the law and compliance with the declared quality standards.
Quality and Environmental Policy
Awarded in 2009, it certifies Skema compliance with the requirements settled by ISO 14001 regulation for the environmental management system. It confirms Skema will to adopt a “green” policy for the company amelioration of processes, infrastructures and products.
Beneath the respect for the regulations in force regarding the environment and security, Skema sets periodically environmental targets to be achieved. In particular, it aims at reducing pollution and the impact of the company activities on the environment as well as designing and producing more environmentally sustainable products.
Quality and Environmental Policy
Achieved in 2013, FSC® certification is based on the use of wood from responsibly managed forests according to the strict environmental, social and economic standards of the Forest Stewardship Council. Through its FSC® certified products, Skema contributes to the safeguard of forests, the conservation of biodiversity and the protection of the landscape, respecting the laws and the criteria for a correct forest management.
Achieved in 2016, the PEFC certification attests as for the FSC® certification the use of wood from forests managed according to ecologically sustainable criteria.
For Skema, the achievement of PEFC certification allows to expand and diversify its range of products derived from certified forests and controlled supply chain.
In particular, PEFC certified products are available in the Living, Evertech, Lumbertech, Oximoro collections.
With the certification Greener
certification obtained in 2016, Skema is part of a network of companies that purchase energy exclusively from renewable sources, such as wind or hydroelectric.
These certify the low emission of VOCs (volatile organic compounds) of products in indoor environments thanks to the excellent properties of the materials they are made of, as they do not have a significant impact on air quality but rather contribute to maintaining a correct level of healthiness in the environment.
